Scottish Association of Young Farmers Club

The Scottish Association of Young Farmers has a lot to offer by way of gaining new skills, attending club meetings, getting involved in a wide assortment of competitions and travel around the world while meeting and interacting with lots of new people along the way. In the Young Farmers Club, there is always something to do for everybody. The more input you give, the more output you will get.

The Young Farmers Club is a peer lead organisation and the members play the key role in various decisions at the various levels within the association. Each Club and its members within are the foundation rock on which the association is built.

Every local club will have representatives on the respective District Committee and the District will then organise events, competitions and dances for the members. Many of the competitions which are held at National level have an elimination round. All competitors must go through this elimination round which will either take place at the District level or at the Regional level.

The three regions in Scotland are the East, the North and the West and the Districts are all split into these regions with representatives for each club on their committees. At the National level, each region will be individually represented. Permanent members of staff are present at Regional and National levels and they deal with administration for clubs and districts as well as organise the Regional and National activities.

Events, meetings, dances and competitions throughout their summer and winter syllabus' are organised by the individual Management Committees. Ten pin bowling, sports, treasure hunts, games nights and talks are only some of the few activities conducted in these Young Farmers Club gatherings. Clubs are always actively recruiting new members so searching for your local Young Farmers Club will allow you to participate in all of the above exciting activities and a lot more!
